After launching their limited edition San Francisco ‘Proud Whopper’ last week, Burger King have faced heavy criticism on Facebook.

Last week Burger King launched a version of their ‘Whopper’ burger with rainbow packaging and the slogan “we are all the same inside”. An accompanying YouTube video was uploaded alongside the launch of the burger.

Many social media users have taken to Facebook to voice their disapproval of the fast food chain supporting LGBT rights.

Despite the backlash, many people also praised Burger King for their colourful ‘Whopper’ and vow to visit the chain more often. Looks like that marketing gimmick paid off, BK!
