The 2023 Pride season continues, with Meath hosting its annual celebration on Saturday, August 19, and there’s tons of excitement and anticipation building up around the villages of Duleek and Gormanstown.
The all-day event has something for everyone including queer yoga, family-friendly picnics and epic evening entertainment.
The morning kicks off with a free, relaxing LGBTQ+-affirming yoga class at 11:30am. The instructor, Lou, will lead the queer-friendly class at the CourtHouse on Main Street in Duleek.
Next up, Pride-goers are invited to a free, family-friendly outdoor party. Everyone is welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the green space where DJ Sean will be mixing fun music for the crowd. Organisers have been planning the day for months and there will be activities for kids, teens and adults, including face painting, an exciting raffle, drag performances and a colouring competition.
All daytime events are scheduled from 12-3pm at the Court House on Main Street in Duleek, and the Pride team said that there is “Such a fantastic day in store for all the family”.
“We have been working very hard behind the scenes to create a Pride family day event,” they added.

The over-18s event called Drag Me To The Huntsman promises to be an incredible night. Performances begin at 9pm on Saturday, August 19, and tickets are available for €10 – don’t miss out on this fantastic night!
