Dublin Independent Fashion Week (DIFW) returns in September 2026 for its fourth year, bringing together emerging and established Irish designers, artists, makers and creative communities for a packed programme of fashion, art, music and performance.
The week officially opens on Thursday, September 10, with POSTMARKED, a live fashion exhibition at the historic General Post Office (GPO). Produced by DIFW Chairperson and Founder Mihai Mar, the experience will feature 60 signature looks, transforming the GPO into a choreographed celebration of contemporary Irish fashion and its growing international influence.

Elsewhere on opening day, An AWA Exhibition at Fade Street Studios will explore the connections between Irish creativity and the Black diaspora through fashion, film, live art and music.
Friday, September 11, continues with a strong focus on sustainability and community. Common Thread at The Chocolate Factory celebrates the diverse backgrounds and practices within Ireland’s fashion scene, while Homegrown: A Day of Irish Fibres at NCAD explores Irish-grown fibres, linen and sustainable making. Fashion lovers can also discover the House of Rosheen collection at Om Diva, or explore upcycled military surplus and vintage fashion at Conflict to Creation.

Saturday brings another packed schedule, including The Fabric of Us II by WabiSabi Collections, celebrating women working across fashion and the arts, alongside the Éadach Ealaíne collective runway and On The Bias Fashion Show & Afterparty at Hen’s Teeth. For those looking to shop, pop-ups from GCBC, House of Abia and Taippe x Misschiif offer opportunities to discover independent labels and one-off pieces.

Sunday shifts towards immersive experiences, with The Designer Edit with Claire Garvey, a sustainable fashion workshop and styling experience, alongside the Second Best Collective curated sustainable clothing market. Evening highlights include Senses Unbound, combining fashion, music, dance and live art, and After Dark: Dressing the Dancefloor, exploring the relationship between fashion and queer club culture.

The programme continues throughout the week with experimental showcases, workshops and performances, including Threads of Motion, Scéalaíocht Storytelling Through Fashion, From Solstice to Storm, and WAHALA Presents: ASCENSION.
DIFW 2026 concludes on Thursday, September 17, with an invite-only closing ceremony at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, bringing the community together to celebrate another year of independent Irish creativity.
