The Queer Cabaret Presents: Give Till it Hurts
September 3 | The Chelsea Drugstore, Dublin
This event is a great opportunity to experience the Queer Cabaret in all its glory for a night of “sickening performances, outrageous games and shameless shakedowns.” Be there or be square, and don’t forget to dress the part; think Patron of the Arts, and go wild! What’s more, a portion of the proceeds from the night will go to TENI. Tickets here.

Quirk Market
September 3 | The Fumbally Café
September starts strong with the return of this legendary market for queer creators taking place at the Fumbally Café. The goal of this amazing event is to bring together artists from all around Ireland, with different kinds of stalls and activities. Quirk Market is a space for queer sellers and business owners, as well as customers, to connect and share a safe space.

thirty 6-inch top-down all-purpose exhibition
September 4 | LHQ Gallery
Through an often humorous and sometimes absurd narrative, this exhibition examines queer rural identity. Artist Maitiú Mac Cárthaigh will do a lecture performance about the interconnectedness of oat flat whites, artificial insemination, and rustic sodomy amid rapid rural gentrification. Oink The Pig Pen – September Sizzle

Dublin Fringe Festival
September 5 to 20 | Dublin

Public meeting ahead of Trump visit
September 8 | Uí Chaidain Theatre Arts Bloc, Trinity College Dublin
Donald Trump is due to visit Ireland later this month, with multiple groups coming together to protest on September 12. While full details of that demonstration are yet to be published, there will be a public meeting held in Trinity College Dublin on September 8 to prepare for the march.

This special Hausparty promises a dazzling cast of the country’s finest queer cabaret performers. In addition to incredible performances from the hottest trio in town, Naomi Diamond, Donna Fella and Shaqira Knightly, an incredible lineup of guests has been confirmed. It’s Just Sex, Ed: A Cracking Tran-Z-ine
September 11 | Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre, Dublin
Join PhD candidate Benjamin Foley for the launch of It’s Just Sex, Ed: A Cracking Tran-Z-ine – an educational zine produced by (and for) young LGBTQ+ people in Ireland. This LGBTQ+ inclusive event is a chance for young people aged between 17 and 23 to find a creative group where they can explore creative writing and visual art, meet new people, and, most importantly, find community. This workshop begins on September 12 but will be a monthly occurrence thereafter.

An Evening with the Legendary Mr Pussy and Friends
September 19 | The Everyman Theatre, Cork
For a glamorous night this September, the legendary Mr Pussy will be back for a spectacular performance filled with comedy, music, drag, dance and plenty of audience participation. The event will take place in Cork, where Mr Pussy has incredibly fond memories of previous shows. Pub Quiz – Arran’s Dublin Marathon Fundraiser

Our Dublin Marathon runner, Arran, is set to take on the race on October 25 to raise vital funds for GCN, Ireland’s free and independent LGBTQ+ media. For anyone planning a trip to London, this play is one not to miss! Developed over years of research, it explores the experiences of London’s Irish LGBTQ+ community during the AIDS crisis. Set in Camden in 1985, the play follows a group of Irish friends who have created a home and chosen family together after leaving Ireland in search of acceptance. Tickets here.
