Misogyny

While McGregor might be in impeccable shape, and is representing Ireland on a global level, some of his expressions and behaviours are antiquated when it comes to misogyny.

Smack talk and getting inside the mind of his opponents is one of Conor McGregor’s tactics when it comes to fighting, however some of his expressions are blatantly chauvinistic.

After one fight, he posted on Facebook that his opponent “Just had a little period pain.” Thankfully, one Facebook user was able to call him out on this prejudice:

Nice one Catherine. It’s by calling out prejudices like sexism and homophobia that the world will slowly but surely become a more equal and accepting place.
