Courtney Act continues in her quest to take over television with the recently announced news she will host new dating show – The Bi Life. Set in Barcelona, the show will see a group of bisexual, pansexual and sexually fluid single people living together, partying together and navigating the dating scene.
Due to be screened on the E! Network in October, Courtney will act as host. Courtney is the alter ego of Shane Jenek, who said of the dating show: “As if this summer hasn’t been hot enough, we decided to crank it up another notch with The Bi Life on E! It’s high time there was a dating show for the large number of young people today, like me, who are attracted to more than one gender.”
He continued, “In 2018 we know that sexuality is fluid and sharing the stories and experiences, the laughter and the love making, of young bi people is so important. So get ready to see the true stories of bisexual singles, who are the largest part of the LGBTQ+ community, but the least known.”
Courtney first found fame on Australian Idol before becoming a finalist on the sixth series of RuPaul’s Drag Race. It was her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother which really caught the attention of the public as well as television executives. She received huge praise for calmly and kindly explaining gender identity to fellow housemates, teaching a lot of viewers a thing or two along the way.
Since then she has been in discussion with Channel 4 to host the upcoming aptly named The Courtney Act Show – a late night talk show welcoming “All you heroic misfits, those of you who are a bit chipped around the edges”. Act also made an appearance in the Real Lives documentary short where she offered advice to an 11 year-old drag queen hoping to make new friends.
For fans of Courtney Act, it looks like it’s going to be a bumper year.
