Laura Prepon To Leave Orange Is The New Black.

Buzzfeed reported last night that Laura Prepon, who plays inmate Alex Vause, is only scheduled to appear in the first episode of the long awaited second season of the prison dramedy.

It is thought that the reason for Prepon’s departure is due to her only signing a one year contract with the show, and in the end, not committing to anymore episodes.

Fans will have to wait and see how the writers wrap up the love story between Alex and central character Piper (Taylor Schilling), which was one of the main storylines of the show.

Orange Is The New Black season two started filming in July and is set to stream on Netflix in early 2014.
