Popular queer hook-up app Grindr just dropped its “Unwrapped” 2025 report, revealing all the preferences and trends in its community, with a few juicy details about Ireland you’ll definitely want to know. This year, the Grindr data proves what we all already know: Ireland has the highest percentage of bears worldwide.
Based on anonymous and aggregated data from users, the Grindr Unwrapped report for 2025 highlights the diversity inside the app’s community by showcasing all the various interests and behaviours across multiple regions in the world. Pulling profile data from the app’s over 15 million average monthly active users and over 32,000 votes, the report reveals some interesting trends.
If you’re wondering how Ireland fared in the Unwrapped report published by Grindr, here is some insight you won’t want to miss. In addition to having the highest percentage of bears, Ireland placed second in the ranking for top hotspots for fem tops (we won’t mention who got first place on that one).
Other intriguing aspects showcased in the Grindr Unwrapped 2025 report were the country with the highest percentage of Daddies, which turned out to be the US, with Australia coming close behind in the list.
The report also gave some insight on the gay dictionary, with ‘delulu’ claiming the top spot as phrase of the year. If you’re looking for a gaycation, Grindr Unwrapped suggests heading to London, which leads this year’s list as the most popular queer travel destination, followed by Paris, New York, Berlin and Barcelona.
In the Pop Culture section of the report, you’ll find all sorts of juicy details, including a “Best Bulge” category where Bad Bunny’s Calvin Klein ad took the top spot. To the surprise of absolutely no one, Jonathan Bailey won the title of Hottest Man of the Year.
For the title of Daddy of the Year, we couldn’t think of anyone better than this year’s rightful winner: queer favourite Pedro Pascal. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga gets the crown of Mother (Monster) of the Year.
