In anticipation of the release of her upcoming film Love Lies Bleeding, bisexual actor Kristen Stewart appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week. Participating in a segment called “Day Drinking,” the actress discussed her upcoming film, her past projects, and being a “lesbian icon”, all while the duo downed drinks at Boxer’s gay sports bar in the Chelsea neighbourhood of Manhattan. 

The hilarious interview, which aired on Tuesday, March 26, started off with the actor and the late-night host mixing up a selection of cocktails based on Stewart’s iconic filmography. 

The unsavoury cocktails included “The Panic Room,” inspired by Stewart’s 2002 film of the same name. In the video interview, Meyers lists the cocktail’s ingredients, which include Celsius energy drink, espresso martini, Mountain Dew Kickstart, yerba mate, and a Xanax (though Meyer’s replaces the last ingredient with a Tic Tac). 

Meyers similarly mixed Stewart a cocktail inspired by the actress’s role in the blockbuster Twilight franchise. The cocktail, called “Twilight”, contains a heap of Bloody Mary mix, a full clove of garlic, and a splash of Romanian liqueur. To finish off the cocktail, Meyers muddled the drink with a wooden stake – the perfect finish to this vampiric refreshment. 

While the duo got up to plenty of shenanigans in the 17-minute video interview, one of the highlights for Stewart’s LGBTQ+ fans was the moment when Meyers invited Stewart to give him a full “lesbian makeover”.

“You’re a lesbian icon,” Meyers told Stewart, though the actress actually identifies as bisexual.

Stewart confidently agreed with Meyers’ assessment, responding simply: “That’s right.” Meyers then invited the 33-year-old actor to transform him into a lesbian icon as well.

“Here’s the deal, Kristen Stewart,” said Meyers. “I have a bunch of lesbian accessories and clothes behind us, and I am now counting on you to turn me into a lesbian icon.”

Stewart, who was intoxicated by this point in the interview thanks to Meyers’ unconventional cocktails, then proceeded to don the late-night host in skinny jeans, wire-frame glasses, a denim jacket and a beanie. Meyers was similarly adorned with a number of traditionally lesbian accessories, such as Converse high-top sneakers, a carabiner, and a tote bag that read: “Kiss More Girls”. 

“Dude, you look fucking cool!” said Stewart after completing Meyers’ transformation. “Do you not feel cooler than you’ve ever felt?

“I feel as though I’ve reverted to what I’m supposed to be,” said Meyers, similarly intoxicated thanks to the “Panic Room” and “Twilight” cocktails.
