The folks at Mother, one of Dublin’s premier queer collectives, are bringing their iconic Daytime Dance Party to The George in just a few weeks time.

From 2pm to 8pm, on Saturday, November 15, Mother will take over the iconic Dublin LGBTQ+ venue, and, in collaboration with Absolut, will host a celebration of “queer visibility, freedom and togetherness”.

The Daytime Dance Party aims to merge the ease of an afternoon party with the spirit of a club night. Guests are invited to spend the day dancing and mingling with the wider LGBTQ+ community. Or, as Mother puts it, the event is a “perfect afternoon escape for dancefloor devotees and daytime dreamers alike”. And yes, you can expect a full Mother experience, complete with their signature sound, lights, drag and dance-floor energy.

Of course, no Mother event would be complete without a stacked lineup of talent, and the Daytime Dance Party is no exception. Drag icons Shaqira Knightley and Anziety will be on hosting duties, while the legendary Mother Dancers will be throwing shapes.

As for the soundtrack to Daytime Dance Party, an incredible lineup of DJs will be on hand to keep us dancing throughout the afternoon and into the early evening. Pop on your best daytime disco gear and get ready to enjoy the DJ stylings of Rocky T. Delgado, Glamo, Shrem, Crystal Queer, Manwelli, Naomi Diamond and Pixie Woo.

As Mother is partnering with their long-term collaborators Absolut for this Daytime Dance Party, guests will be treated to a complimentary welcome drink on arrival, which is included in the ticket price.

Tickets cost €5, but fair warning, Mother’s daytime events tend to sell out, so don’t wait around. To avoid disappointment, secure your tickets to the Mother Daytime Disco via Eventbrite sooner rather than later.
