A Russian LGBT activist has hit back at online trolls by posting their anonymous comments alongside pictures from their social media accounts.
Elena Klimova (above), founder of Russian LGBT advice site, Children 404, posted some of the hate mail she receives in an album called ‘Beautiful People And The Things They Say To Me’ on the Russian social network VKontakte.
The comments are juxtaposed with banal photos from the commentator’s social media accounts.
One commentator, Alexander (above) posted: “You fucking slut! Why the fuck are you propagandising fags? Sure, nobody wants to fuck you, but that’s your problem. Just close this disgusting group. Or else I’ll go and catch myself one of these fags, and I’ll beat the shit out of him (smiley face) And on his stupid fucking face, I’ll inscribe the name of your group, and the whole thing will be YOUR fault!”
Another commentator, Elizaveta, said “They’re gonna lock you up any day now. What you’re doing can’t go unpunished. I hope you burn in hell a long time in agony for propagandizing the homosexuals! Die, you shitty scum. Leave our country, you piece of shit. Sooner or later, you’re gonna pay for this!”
“Ahaha,” posts ‘Roman’. “I get it: nobody wants to fuck you, and now you’re taking it out on Russians? People like you are the ones killing Slavs! There’s no place for you in society. Fine, go and promote this shit in other countries, but why here? My great grandfather died for you, you fucking beast! LGBT will never be tolerated! And the people who have supported you will regret it for the rest of their lives.”
“The most sophisticated verbiage is anonymous, so it’s sad we do not see their beautiful faces,” Klimova wrote.
“As beautiful people write to me often, this album will be continually updated,” Klimova wrote on her VKontakte page. “It was created for the enjoyment of contrasts and the diversity of life.”
Klimova, who was awarded the International Award at 2014’s GALAs, originally posted some of the photos of her trolls to Facebook, but the company removed the photos stating its Community Standards, which “prevent anyone on Facebook from degrading or shaming another private individual.”
A court order blocking the Children 404 site for “promoting homosexual propaganda” came into effect on April 25.
