Irish queer favourites SOAK and Pillow Queens are headlining Party With A Purpose, organised by Just Eat, which is taking place on June 28 at the Grand Social. The gig is sold out, but GCN has a pair to give away to one lucky reader.
Two of Ireland’s hottest LGBTQ+ acts are teaming up for an incredible night of music following the Dublin Pride Parade. Dublin indie heroes Pillow Queens are set to play their first show of 2025, supported by Derry singer-songwriter, SOAK.
With their signature blend of soul-stirring songwriting and emotional clarity, SOAK will kick off the show and set the vibe for the night. Following right after, the Pillow Queens will bring their fearless, emotional sound to the Grand Social stage. Fans can expect songs from their first three albums, as well as a couple of exclusive new tracks!
All proceeds from this incredible event will go to Dublin’s Outhouse LGBTQ+ Centre, with Just Eat also donating €20,000 to the charity. Welcoming the initiative, Oisín O’Reilly, CEO of Outhouse, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Just Eat for their continued support of Outhouse, and of the LGBTQ+ community.
“Their commitment goes beyond one-off moments – it’s a genuine, ongoing partnership that helps us deliver vital services all year round. The Dublin Pride party at The Grand Social is such a brilliant way to bring people together in celebration and solidarity. We’re thankful to Just Eat, Pillow Queens, and SOAK for helping us drive vital awareness and support for the work we do, and for encouraging people to go out, come together, and celebrate the community’.”
