I Wish You All the Best has been a long time coming. Following the book’s release in 2019, a film adaptation was announced in 2022. Then last year, the film premiered at the 2024 SXSW film festival. Now, fans have both a trailer and a theatrical release date of November 7, 2025.
The trailer is sad, funny, heartfelt, and tender, with a new song by Charlotte Lawrence, ‘Tongue Tied’, playing in the background. In the video, Ben can be heard tearfully saying, “Being non-binary makes me feel like nothing and everything all at once, and I don’t know what to do with myself,” to which their art teacher responds, “All you have to do is be.”
