Gold Blooded Woman makes her grand debut with the electrifying sound of Blood is Blood and a mesmerizing music to go with it.
Sarah Byrne, formerly lead singer of Faune with Will St Leger, has created Gold Blooded Woman as a solo project. Bursting onto the scene, her vocals, lyrics, and the electronic beat all create an unforgettable experience.
From the woman who ate sushi off a tattooed naked man and wore a face full of gems, Sarah’s debut as Gold Blooded Woman powerfully commands attention and promises many more great songs to come. The track was written and co-produced by Sarah, with Vasileios Gourgourinis co-produced, mixed and engineered.
Drawing inspiration from Lars and the Real Girl, the music video follows Gold Blooded Woman’s relationship with a mannequin from the honeymoon phase to the eventual downfall. As the singer said, “thankfully it’s more mannequin then sex doll.” The music video was directed by Paul Mahon, head of Gepetto, a studio catering for people’s visual tastes.
Throughout the video, it is clear Sarah is having a ball with the setting. On Instagram, one user commented under the video teaser, “Congrats Sarah!!! Fab! The shot of you fixing your make up in the loo is so Edina from Ab Fab.” Another comment read, “Double tap the F out of this.”
Over on Twitter, people are equally as eager to heap praise on the debut song. One user said, “One of my favourite humans ever, Sarah Byrne aka Gold Blooded Woman, releases her debut single Blood is Blood today. Ready to roll with a Lars and the Real Girl-inspired music video, enjoy this electropop banger. BOP N’ DROP, my friends.”
