Angel Haze has spoken for the first time about her “BFF” Ireland Baldwin, confirming that they are more than just friends.

Although the revelation may seem too obvious (considering some of their explicit tweets to eachother), news sources like The Daily Mail have been a bit naive in reporting on their relationship as if they were just friends. Friends make out, right? Check out this somewhat cryptic tweet… WHAT COULD IT MEAN?!

The 22 year-old rapper told The Independent in a recent interview, “I don’t know if there’s like some confirm or deny thing with the way relationships work in the media, but everyone just calls us best friends, best friends for life, like we’re just friends hanging out,” adding, “It’s funny. It’s rad in some ways, it sucks in others.”

Angel Haze, who prefers not to label her sexuality, offered some insight into why the media might be reluctant to accept her relationship with 18 Year-old Ireland, daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.

“An interracial gay couple, I mean that’s just weird for America right now. We fuck and friends don’t fuck. I have never fucked one of my friends. Once I see you in that way, it doesn’t happen,” she said. “But we do fuck and it’s crazy and that’s weird to say because I think about it in terms of an audience reading it and them thinking, ‘What the hell?’ But it happens.”

Angel Haze will be performing alongside Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Ellie Goulding in Dublin’s Marlay Park on July 10.
