Courtney Act To Enter CBB House

RuPaul's Drag Race alumnus Courtney Act is set to enter the Celebrity Big Brother this week and it will be all tea, all shade, all eviction-flavoured lemonade.

“Courtney has seen everything as a drag queen so nothing will faze her in the house,” a ‘source’ told The Sun.

“She’s a pro who won’t be intimidated by any of the big personalities in there and she won’t back down from a row.”

Australian queen Courtney appeared on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2014, ultimately losing out to Queen of the Roasts, Bianca del Rio. Since then she’s founded a wig company (Wigs by Vanity) appeared in an ad campaign for American Apparel and performed with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.

Metro reports that Courtney (real name Shane Gilberto Jenek), is currently in the UK after performing a New Year’s Eve gig at GAY with drag super-group AAA, featuring her RPDR costars Alaska Thunderfuck and Willam.

She will enter the Borehamwood House on Friday alongside the first of the season’s male contestants, ex-footballer John Barnes and former Boyzone-r Shane Lynch.

Among the housemates currently residing in the house are former Conservative politician Ann Widdecome, Malika Haqq, Rachel Johnson (sister of Boris), Ashley James, India Willoughby, Maggie Oliver, Jess Impiazzi and Corrie’s Amanda Barrie, who all entered the CBB house on January 2.

Michelle Visage appeared on CBB back in 2015, coming 5th overall and developing a close friendship with reality TV perennial Calum Best.

As Courtney is entering the house with the season’s other male housemates it is possible that it will be Shane, not Courtney who walks through the doors on Friday. However, given that she, not he is the star, that seems unlikely.

Will Courtney fare as well as Michelle? Or will she get sick of Ann Widdicome and leave after a few days? Perhaps she’ll go on to do what she couldn’t on RPDR and actually win the thing? We’ll find out soon, possums!
