Dykonic, Ireland’s first music festival featuring an entirely FLINTA (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender) lineup, has announced its exciting and talented performers. Taking place on August 9 at the gorgeous Orlagh house, Dykonic will feature Beth McCarthy, ARXX, Fox Gunn, Vanès, Inge Lamboo, Bobbi Arlo, and Ettie, along with comedian and content creator Ella Wills hosting the thrilling event.
The festival will also have queer collectives and DJ sets in the Secret Garden stage including Rathaus, Queer Crystal Club, and Aphrodisiac. With this lineup, Dykonic creates a diverse, inclusive celebration of LGBTQ+ music for queer women, non-binary folks, and their allies.
Dykonic, for whom GCN–Ireland’s free independent LGBTQ+ media–is the media partner, carefully curated this lineup with intention and purpose. After learning that less than 15% of major festivals in Ireland and the UK have women or queer people as their headliners, Dykonic aimed to create space for women, trans, and non-binary voices to be heard and celebrated.

The founder of Dykonic, Mafalda ‘Mafi’ Hrušková, said, “So many festivals still struggle to book women and queer artists in meaningful numbers. I wanted to create a space where they aren’t just included–they’re the focus.”
The beautiful Dykonic lineup has shared their gratitude and excitement. ARXX has said, “The only thing better than Queers are Irish Queers. Dublin is our favourite place to play and we plan to have a lot of fun!”
Vanès has expressed the importance of a festival like Dykonic. “I’m performing at Dykonic because it’s more than just a festival – it’s a chance for queer artists to finally be seen on a big stage in Europe and for the community to have a safe space to celebrate queer music, make new friendships and simply have fun together!
“This will be my first time in Dublin ever, so I’m prepping my most Dykonic outfit and I’m bringing my hottest (unreleased) songs to give the audience the real life experience of my viral gay panic videos – I absolutely can’t wait!!”
Inge Lamboo said, “I’m playing at Dykonic because I want to be a voice for the queer community and show people it’s 100000% okay to be themselves.”

Fox Gunn similarly commented on the community aspect of the festival, saying, “The second I heard about Dykonic I knew I had to be there. As an artist, I get to perform to my favourite crowd (queer people from all over the world) and work with a team of people who care, know what we need, and are creating something so special for both artists and audience.
“As a fan, I get to go to a festival and know that I’m safe, that I can kiss my girlfriend without having to look over my shoulder first, that I can be my full self freely without being scared. Dykonic is not only what queer women and non-binary people want, it’s what we need.
“As for my appearance at the festival, I plan to bring my wildest, sexiest, most fun performance ever. I can’t think of a better place to tease new music, flirt with the crowd and be the most extra version of myself than Dykonic.”
Dykonic will be a fun day full of music, community, and inclusion. In addition to the music, there will be queer markets, tattoos, food, drinks, and more! Tickets can be purchased online on Dykonic’s website.
