Collecting over 30 international accolades including an Olivier and three Tony Awards, Bourne’s powerful production is a passionate and contemporary Swan Lake for our times. The production went on to become the longest-running ballet in the history of the West End and on Broadway.
Since its debut in 1995, there have been seismic shifts in society regarding same-sex relationships, gender roles and gender fluidity and there are some small tweaks in the detailing but this Swan Lake remains as visually and emotively as compelling as ever.
