Following the Northern Ireland assembly’s rejection of a motion to support same-sex marriage this week, Stephen Nolan hosts a debate on marriage equality.
On Tuesday, 51 assembly members (MLAs) voted against the Sinn Féin motion, while 43 MLAs voted in favour. This is the third time in a year and a half that the Northern Ireland Assembly has rejected same-sex marriage.
BBC NI’s Stephen Nolan is joined in the studio by Arlene Foster (DUP) and Caitríona Ruane (Sinn Féin) to discuss the issue.
