After launching its first-ever festival last year, Longford Pride is returning in 2025 for a fabulous celebration of the local LGBTQ+ community. Taking place from June 2 to 8, the week-long festival promises a packed programme of incredible events and activities.
Kicking off the festivities on June 2, a free Art Exhibition in the Library will be the perfect treat for the Bank Holiday evening. Then on June 3, the official festival launch will take place in the Longford County Council Offices, followed by a poetry reading by the winner of the “Inner Pride” poetry competition with queer poet, Hayley Fox-Roberts.
On June 5, the team at TENI will host a free seminar at the Attic House, providing information about the tireless work they do for Ireland’s trans community. On the following day, people are invited to the free Screenprinting Workshop hosted by local artist Sophie Carroll Hunt, where they will get to print and take home t-shirts and tote bags.
The party takes off on Saturday 7, starting with the Pride Craft Market in Pig Market Lane. It will be followed by the annual Pride parade, which is set to kick off at the Barracks and bring the colourful crowd all the way back to Pig Market Lane for the official Longford Pride Party 2025.

Hosted by P.Vs Red Room, the party will feature a fantastic drag show by Haus of Kwen, a raffle and a DJ set until late. Early Bird tickets to the party are already available online or can be purchased on the night for €15.
To cool down after the celebrations, the community is invited to walk or run the 5km Colour Fun Run at The Mall on Sunday, June 8. And to close the festival in style, there will be a free double-bill screening of San Junipero followed by The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at Valentines. People are invited to grab a drink, sit back, and enjoy the end of this year’s Longford Pride in perfect feel-good Summer style.
